No more carrying 2 bags to work! This replaces my tote bag and laptop bag! It has a lot of space and enough pockets for me to securely store everything I need. The inside bottle pouch is perfect for my 25 oz water bottle, and the outside pocket works great for my coffee bottle.

A very well made bag with many good features, but it really needs a few other features:
- YKK Acquaguard zipper for the main opening (not just front pocket)
- attachment points to convert it to a crossbody bag (for those who purchase an extra strap).
-front pocket zip that opens from either end. I am left handed and the main pocket is very awkward to open/close.
-a few shallow internal zippered pockets. At present small items fall to the bottom of deep open pockets which is not very secure and which makes it hard to stash / retrieve them (eg. items such as wallet, earbuds, phone, powerbank).
- a hidden zippered pocket at the back for a wallet and/or passport.

Got this bag from Reddit recos of the brand and judged the totepack based on its versatility. I commute to work so need something substantial enough for essentials; it fits my HP laptop with room to spare. I like the versatile vertical pockets for either an umbrella or narrow waterbottle; my 20oz Zojirushi fits well. The middle compartment is very narrow, so I’ve had to do some editing down from my previous backpack, but I don’t mind at this point. I’m also looking forward to taking this to Paris for vacation as a carryon and tote for everyday around the city.
The construction is great. Welting and rubbered zippers are solid feeling and wick water away. I have gotten used to the North/South orientation whoch means really digging to the bottom for things, but the lightly interior means I’m not losing anything.
A happy purchase. I look forward to my next ALPAKA.
