This ended up being the winning backpack for me after reading summaries of around 20 different options on the market. Honestly, it was a really tough choice, but I’m confident I made the right decision.
First of all, the size feels ideal. I’m not totally convinced it’s exactly 23L, but that’s not an issue for me at all. I don’t usually carry a lot of stuff, and from the beginning I was actually looking for something around 20L. In real life, it feels closer to maybe 21L, and I’m perfectly happy with that.
I really love the look of this backpack. The design is clean and simple, with a nice urban-elegant vibe. At the same time, I don’t think it looks out of place at all if you show up to a more formal meeting with it. The photos honestly don’t do it justice — it looks and feels way better once you actually have it in your hands.
One thing that, for me, is not a downside at all is that the backpack doesn’t have a separate laptop compartment (like a dedicated section apart from the main compartment). Personally, that’s exactly what I was looking for. I didn’t want to waste space on that, since I mainly use this backpack for travel. And realistically, when you’re going to places like Disney or walking around Japan as a tourist, you’re probably not carrying a laptop anyway. I already have a backpack and a briefcase specifically for work and laptop use, so I didn’t need it here. That was actually one of the main reasons I chose this backpack over other options. I also don’t like…
