Bravo Tote V2 (12L)

I watched dozens of YouTube reviews before pulling the trigger on this one. What I wanted was specific: a tote that could take a laptop, sometimes an iPad, a tumbler, and a folding parasol for our brutal summers — without becoming a big bag.

It came down to two 12L totes, and since neither is sold in a store I can visit, I had to decide from video alone. The other candidate tapers toward the top, and I could tell that even a small addition to my usual load would make it hard to close. I did like its grippy rubberized shoulder strap, but it looked narrow enough to dig in once the bag got heavy. Honestly, if the Bravo were still using the V1 strap, I probably would have gone the other way. But the V2 strap is thick and wide — almost like a taekwondo belt — and it spreads the weight so well that a heavier load barely registers on the shoulder.

I ordered from Korea, and free shipping meant no extra customs charges on my end, which I appreciated. The only small letdown: a few weeks after my order, a promotion started giving away a bonus item with this same bag.

On the zippers: the front one is weather-sealed, so water doesn't seep in easily, though that same seal makes it a little stiff to pull. The main compartment is the opposite — smooth and quick. A lot of bags in this class give the main compartment only one zipper pull; the V2 has two, so I can open it from whichever side I want. Small detail, real difference in daily use.
