I purchased this about a year ago with the extra basic strap (no metal buckle), have been using it as an EDC sling. Its a great way to empty your pockets, easily holds your phone, wallet, tissues, hand sanitiser plus extra bits and pieces.
The main compartment has a lined area for a phone, a zipped compartment (which I really like and that has three small little pockets), the main dump area and two mesh pockets against the side. There is also a pen holder. The very front pocket is a dump pocket, no internal organisation, my phone with its case is roughly 16cm x 8cm and fits in fine.
I use the sling almost daily as a pocket dumper and its great. It wont hold larger items, but can for example handle my glasses, a phone, wallet and other bits, basically the main carry items you would put in your pockets, plus a bit more (you can put the glasses in the soft lined area and the phone in the dump area).
I am not sure if you can still purchase the basic strap any more (which has no buckle). I dont like the Alpaka Pro strap, but the mini pro strap might be quite good as its got a sliding type buckle.
I got mine in xpac green, it looks great and well built. PU coated zippers that are easy to use, small grab handle on the back, whats not to love. Infact is seems strange now to walk around with things likes keys/phone in my pocket now as I am so used to using a sling.
I do also have the Bellroy Ventura 2.5l sling which I use when I need to carry more items, say 2…
