Features

SIZED FOR DEVICES

iPad mini, Nintendo Switch, over-ear headphones – we made this Max version big enough that you can fit the devices you bring daily. But not so big that it feels noticeably bulkier or heavier than our standard Metro Sling.

EASY ORGANIZATION

The two sections help you separate high-priority items from the rest. So you can tuck devices and bigger things away in the main compartment, but keep must-haves right at hand in the quick-access front pocket.

UPRIGHT AND ABLE

This sling’s upright, portrait-mode orientation makes it especially easy to access, since it sits flat against your side with the zippers level. And, despite the bigger capacity, it still stays slim against your body.

HUB COMPATIBLE

Strong webbing loops on the side of this bag let you easily clip on accessories, and are designed to work seamlessly with our HUB Carabiner system. So you can keep your keys, access card or anything else right where you need it.

ALL-WEATHER DURABILITY

Crafted from X-Pac® or our custom Axogrid laminate, and paired with YKK AquaGuard zippers, this sling stands up to whatever weather comes your way.

Great everyday bag! Very modular and adaptive

Before the Metro Sling Max, I was already using the Vertex Pouch as my everyday bag. At first I was impressed, but I eventually found the Vertex too compartmentalized, that there was no "big area" for some items that I can drop in easily. So I gambled on the Metro Sling Max, even though it's shy of 0.5L in capacity (as it's stated in the info page). However, to my surprise, I was able to pack the same amount from my Vertex to the Metro Sling Max, and then some more.

The compartmentalization is balanced out with a large and tall cavernous space. So it's perfect for an OC person like me who likes the inline pockets and spaces, yet at the same time, I have extra space for my "drop-in" items such as a phone, wallet, etc.

The other feature that I love so much that the other sling bags don't have are the side webbings. I can easily attach my keys, carabiner + water bottle, etc. I even took a step further and acquired for myself modular bags and attached on each side. The bag can now hold my umbrella / water bottle + auxiliary items for EDC (see picture).

    Thanks Alpaka!

    Metro sling max experience

I use this sling if I want to carry extra gear such as my XM3 Sony headphones or maybe my action camera with the invincible stick alongside my wallet, my slim powerbank and my car key. Everything fits. The card slot is very useful during my previous hotel stay to store the door card

    Narrow strap

I really liked the bag itself. A vertical version is also needed. However, the shoulder strap for such a large bag is too narrow. If you fully pack it with items like a gaming console, a multitool, a water bottle, and some smaller things, it becomes quite uncomfortable to carry for a long time on such a thin strap. I think it's fine for smaller versions, but for this one, it should have been wider. It's a shame that Alpaka doesn’t properly test their products before release.

Bag layout is great. Wish it was bigger.
