I purchased the Metro Sling Max in Black X-Pac for my trip to Vancouver and then onto an Alaskan cruise. My initial goal was to use this as a personal item within my personal item on flights. We usually travel on American Airlines narrow bodies which does not have seat back entertainment so I wanted bag that could handle an iPad mini and a set of Bose full-size over ear noise cancelling headphones and the Metro Sling Max carries those items with no issue. As a bonus, in AA’s business class cabin, there is a storage bin in the inner armrest which was able to accommodate the Metro Sling Max and a water bottle with no issues. In addition to the iPad and headphones in the main compartment, I was able to add in a pen, a retractable wire puller (used to hook my personal item from under the seat in front of me), and a Victorinox Swiss Card nail care (TSA friendly). In the front pocket, I had a small flashlight attached to the key lanyard and a charging block in the main section and a selection of USB cables in the netted compartment. The Metro Sling Max is the perfect onboard entertainment bag that still fits inside your personal under-seat item.
When traveling around Vancouver, I swapped out my travel gear for tech/photography gear in sling mode and once again it was up to the task.
