I shopped for a while before finding this bag. Being left-handed, I ordered both shoulders knowing that I would return one. It's first test was a recent 3-week trip to Egypt in which it excelled on the day-to-day (especially in Cairo) when I did not need a larger daypack for our excursions.
While it is very true that when carrying a water bottle, you are very limited on capacity; I never used it for a tablet, but it would still get tight with a water bottle and a sunglass case in addition to your basic small essentials. The biggest bonus what that it unexpectedly would securely fit and carry a 1.5L bottle of water if you use the cordage correctly around the neck of the bottle. Additionally, the luggage handle pass-through makes it the perfect personal item in addition to a carryon-sized suitcase.

This year I am planning on traveling more and wanted a bag that is small but can fit my iPad mini, Sony headphones, AirPods, portable charger, passport and a water Bottle. I haven’t had to chance to actually use it just yet but did a test and was able to fit all of the above and still had extra space for a couple of more items if I wanted to. I like the design and the quality of the bag does feel worth it for the price. If anyone’s curious I ordered the Left Shoulder, Black | X-Pac VX42 and like I said before, the quality does feel premium. Only minor complaint was I found 1 loose thread on one of the zipper handles but, just I cut it off without any damages to the bag.

I took this bag on an alaskan cruise recently, and let me tell you, its solid. It's the perfect bag for anything, I am able to store my point and shoot camera, all the EDC items (wallet, earbuds, portable charger etc..). I love how you can just whip it around and grab something and throw it back. The phone pouch is a grip for some but I definitely use it,. The extra strap for running is always a bonus. If you even have a thought about buying it, do it!

I’m currently using the Alpaca Metro Crossbody Bag on a 28-day safari in South Africa and it has been the best item I packed. It’s comfortable to wear, secure, the size is perfect, and everything is easy to access. Bonus that it looks great too. Practicality and style, what more could one want?
