It’s summertime now, which means shorts. Shorts mean less pockets and no belts. This lead to me either losing the contents of my pockets every time I sat down, or any sort of vigorous movement leading to me holding my pants up as my anvil of a phone tries to pull them down.
I decided a bag could eliminate this issue, however my usual backpack is overkill, and frankly kept items too loose, especially for as few items as I wanted to carry so I took a chance on this bag.
I started with my EDC essentials: phone, wallet, keys, multi-tool. This filled maybe 1/4th of the bags middle pocket, the bag was almost too empty for my liking.
So I went overkill, or so I thought. I now have a battery bank, a large wattage charger, 4 charging cables, a large collapsable bag for groceries, sunglasses, small can of sunscreen, and all the aforementioned items. I still have about 1/4 of the large middle pocket free, with front pocket comfortably full without bulging. The back pocket, which I would reserve for flat items like my passport, is currently empty as well.
As far as the build quality goes it survived several sand volleyball leagues. The zipper and bag materials kept sand clear of the contents and even kept the contents dry from a decent bit of rain! When the bag was covered in dust and a light amount of mud, a wet rag was enough to bring it back good as new.
I was at first apprehensive about getting a sling bag, (yes I was one of those guys) but this bag has changed my mind entirely! I’m glad my first bag was a hit, I can’t thing of any complaints at all. when it comes time to shop for another bag, I know which brand I’ll be hitting up first!
