I have the bag in X-Pac, which I think brings its own issues. Now, don't get me wrong: the bag is sturdy, spacious, and has enough pockets to store your gear. All that's a given. I can carry a lot of stuff.
However, noticeable issues for me:
- I don't think the shoulder straps are padded enough for a fully packed bag.
- The carry handle is too thin to manage a fully packed bag. It also needs a bit more padding and perhaps a little more stiffness, with less slip on the handle itself.
- The zip to the main compartment catches on the top corners. I don't know if this is peculiar to the X-Pac variant, but you can see the sharpness of the angle the zipper has to navigate.
For carrying a laptop and some supporting equipment (charger, cable, mouse), the bag is very good. When I start to bulk it out with more gear (a bag of post-its and pens, a large USB powerbank, more cables), it becomes uncomfortable. The supplied sternum strap helps, but it's awkward, particularly when wearing a suit!
I so want to use the extra space it has. I've had bigger bags that carry less.
