I am a pretty big bag snob, and have truly enjoyed exploring different brands and different form factors and functionalities. I am not proud of how many bags I have owned and used… But I do feel like I have learned a lot from the experience.
This is my favorite bag. It’s understated, beautifully engineered, and ruthlessly functional.
I travel extensively and need an efficient, handsome, highly functional tech bag. I have to carry my computer (MacBook Air 13”), cords and adapters, battery pack, nighttime charging setup (a delightful 3-in-1 from ESR), and then a little handful of bits and bobs, sometimes including a portable gaming system. But that’s it. I want it to be very efficient. This bag does it perfectly, nothing more nothing less. There are zero compromises.
I also like that it stands up on its own which is incredibly elegant. It’s super lightweight, super functional, and perfectly suited to my needs. I just love it.
What might people not like? Well, the handles are a little bit longer because it is more of a tote. While I love that and I’m actually using it both to carry it by handles and throw it over my shoulder when I need to, I do think it looks a little bit goofy when you put the additional shoulder strap on. That strap is fine but it’s also not the most comfortable, and because they use proprietary clips I can’t use one of the more sophisticated ones from Waterfield. But the truth is I don’t want to. I actually love it ultra minimalist.
Some people might…
