Flight Sling Pro (2.5L)

The Alpaka Flight Sling Pro 2.5L has been a significant upgrade for my daily carry, offering a much more refined experience than my previous rotation between the Tech Case Max and the Tech Case Mini. The "slim factor" is exactly what I was looking for, but the standout feature is easily the hidden bottle pocket. I used to clip my Owala to the side with a carabiner, but the constant dangling and swaying while walking was incredibly frustrating; now, I can tuck the bottle away securely, and the pocket zips shut to maintain a sleek profile when not in use.

Despite its compact size, the organization is perfectly suited for my essentials. The main compartment easily accommodates my iPad Mini and MCON controller, along with my card holder, while my keys stay in the front pocket and my phone remains secure in the back. The only missing piece that would make this bag absolutely perfect is a built-in D-ring. Having one would allow me to properly use my magnetic stabilizer strap to keep the bag even more secure during movement. Aside from that small omission, it is the ideal middle ground for anyone who wants to carry their gaming gear and stay hydrated without the bulk.

I bough this with the intention of replacing another sling I had been using for holidays and trips to the city, but unfortunately it doesnt quite meet my requirements. The strap is too thin, so when cycling with the sling it feels a little uncomfortable. The water bottle holder is a good idea, but because it is hides away directly behind the main compartment of the sling, when you have a bottle in the holder, that directly takes away from space inside the main compartment. It does hold a bottle well though. Then there is no room for expansion, if you might have picked up a few things (sweets, little souvenirs etc.) in town. The zipped compartments, especially the one behind the sling, closest you body, is great for passports/ tickets and works well, so I have no complaints about that. The main compartment is great, other than the space of it being impeded on with the bottle.

Id say this sling is great if you travel light (powerbank, phone, wallet, keys, passport, bottle), but if tend to carry more than that this probably won't quite meet your needs.
