Eclipse Gaming Sling

I haven't been purchasing a lot of Alpaka products, lately. I am one of those huge Alpaka fans that's apparently in the minority when it comes to their recent "upgrades" and "revisions". I cannot tell you how many times I've tried to pick up this bag and put the strap over my head just to have the new Maglockz clip twist and turn around on me to the point where the strap gets totally tangled and I have to reorient the clip to have the strap function properly. And for the first time, ever, one time I went to put this bag on and the Maglockz clip twisted off of the stupid little black ancor string and the sling (with my Steam Deck in it) went crashing onto the pavement. Thankfully I had the JSAUX mod case on my Steam Deck - so there was very little damage to my handheld - but that's inexcusable. I've never had this happen to me with the Alpaka bags where the Maglockz clips are permanently sown into the bag (Go Sling, Flight Sling) - and I've also never had a strap fail on me back with the hold hoop and clip method (old Flight Sling 2L, Vertex Pouch, Elements Tech Case, Metro Tote etc). And these new paracord zipper pulls are so annoying on Alpaka bags. In their infinite wisdom, they forgot to include a knot at the actual zipper (there should be two knots - one at the zipper and one at the end). So after you've been wearing the bag for an hour and you need to quickly pull the zipper cord, the cord gets all misaligned and you have to fix your zipper pull in order to get enough…

I’ve finally found The perfect steam deck bag!! The eclipse gaming sling holds the steam deck with a case and front cover, Along with fitting a battery pack, portable controller and my EDC essentials. With only one complaint being the attachment point for the strap hardware is some sort of braided cord? Im not sure what to call it but it doesn’t look like it will hold up and long as other bags Alpaka has made(4th picture), other than that one fault. Ide still give this bag a 9/10 rating. I cant wait to see this bag in the various materials and colors Alpaka offers. A red ‘year of the…’ variant would be awesome

Love the design shape and functionality of this bag however it arrived with the threads on the top handle starting to co,e out and only continually coming out with moderate use. It fits steam deck with jsaux case and lid along with enough space to hold XR glasses in a flat case and accessories. Quality control just didn't see, to be there on this one
