❤️ ❣️ I AM IN LOVE!!! ❤️ ❣️

As nearly a 30 Year Bushcraft and EDC Hobbiest and Enthusiasts, I have bought and owned hundreds of Backpacks including many High-end and Very Expensive Backpacks. With this in mind, there has never been a Backpacks that has litterally emotionally affected me like Alpaka. Similar to when someone buys a very special automobile. I can't stop looking at it and handling it LOL. The materials are extremely high quality and the construction has been very carefully and perfectly put together. This is the perfect EDC Backpack as it's design is both a slim profile and more designer/luxury style than the typical tactical, camping or even student style Backpacks. I didn't want it to appear as if I were going on a hike when carrying it. I LOVE LOVE the Orange XPAC! I get a ton of curious admirers when I open it LOL. The interior organization, separation and pockets were extremely intelligent. VERY SIMPLE and thoughtfully placed. The Hook and Loop Modular System (can't recall what they call it) is absolutely genius. I really love how I can fold down the front flap to provide excellent access to my contents. This Backpack was definitely designed with Pouch Packing in mind which is something I recently began doing (so much better than loading loose items everywhere). It's so comfortable and fits snug. I just can't express perfectly just how awesome Alpaka is! I have bought 2 more Pouches and will be buying more! The one recommendation I have for others who buy this, is to buy some Nite Ize Magnetic Locking Dual Carabiners which really works well for being able to quickly securing and removing pouches, this takes intelligent packing to the next level!

Elements Backpack One Month Review

Super comfortable daily carry. I work in the architectural construction industry. So have to carry around drawings and small measurement tools. Commodious interior sufficient for my documents, laptop, measurements tools, sketch book, two water bottles (h2o and coffee) Did two 5km walks from work site to home, and the elements pack didn’t disappoint. Price to value, I made the decision to go with this pack over stalwarts like GORUCK GR1, Evergoods CPL. Highly recommended.

Great Bag, almost perfect!

I was immediately impressed with the quality of the alpaka product. The bag is sleek and refined. Materials are top notch and craftsmanship was obvious. The interior contrasts perfectly against the dark exterior, and provides a high visibility area to easily find all of your items. The straps are quite comfortable, and the fid lock buckle on the sternum strapped is easily attachable. The bag is a bit small. It’s perfect for office use or for EDC, as long as your carry is rather minimal. Easy to fit a laptop and or tablet, and quite a few accessories. But, beyond that, you don’t have room for much else. I would love this bag in a slightly bigger capacity, and width of more well thought out front admin pouch. The hub system is amazing, though I would like the clips to be a little slimmer. For the cost of the bag, it would be nice if at least one of the hub clips and hub keychains were included. For additional context, I am 6‘3“ and weigh about 240 pounds. The bag definitely is sized well for my body, except for my comments about capacity. Very slim looking bag.

Sleek, beautiful, comfy

I love the outside of the pack. The two water bottle containers are wonderful. I find the back straps super comfy. Love that there are plenty of attachment points for extra gear on the straps. Love the bright orange color on the inside and the cushioned laptop sleeve section. I really like the lack of depth, as it gives a slim profile even when fully loaded. The sternum straps are a pleasure to use and distribute the weight making the carry seem lighter. Just a few improvements would make this a 5 star, none of which would stop me from recommending this pack. A lined top stash pocket for a phone or sunglasses. A leash for keys. A second large pocket in front of the laptop sleeve for a moleskin and/or tablet. Please add some strap control so when the pack is cinched up there is no dangle. I summary great bag!

Superb, but a little too slim

Really well made, no issues with the quality. It feels really comfortable when wearing it, I think this is because it is very slim and because it hugs your back. It would be quite hard to pack it in such a way that there is weight pulling the pack away from your back. The shoulder straps are good, though I am not sure that the design of the padded underside makes a significant difference: it just looks cool. I really like the magnetic buckle on the sternum strap – you just push the button/latch and it detaches from the tension being put on it with your chest. Overall build quality is excellent and the look is definitely minimalist and stealthy. If you just had a laptop in there you could probably wear it UNDER a jacket and people wouldn't notice! On the negative side, I feel like its slimness is quite limiting. It would be perfect as a commuting backpack where all you need is a laptop, a tech case/organiser, headphones, a packable jacket, a couple of small accessories like earbuds, your keys, a power bank and a water bottle. But then it quickly feels heavily packed out so there is not much room for anything else significant. Also, when it is fully packed you do not have easy access to what is in the bottom – you need to pull everything else out to access it. There is also no organised admin compartment, though the webbing on the inside could be used for items with pocket clips. The quick access compartment on the front of the bag is smaller than I expected, but it's in the perfect place for accessing it if you swing the pack round on one shoulder. I have the Alpaka Admin pouch, and filled out, that fits nicely in the lower interior zipper compartment. That being said, the profile does remain very slim and even with a good deal of weight in it, it feels quite comfortable to wear. I ended up returning the bag because I wanted the option to pack it out with more stuff, e.g. to use as an overnight or even a 2-day trip pack. I also wanted easier access to all of my gear. After a lot of research I went with an alternative brand on this occasion. So in summary I think Alpaka went a bit too far on the "slim" factor for my use cases – if they had just given it a bit more breathing space, and somehow put in an admin compartment (e.g. for pens etc) then it would have been very hard not to keep it!

Great Pack, but would be perfect with a few additions

Sleek. Looks great in a business or casual setting. Great weight distribution. Some features I like are the double water bottle areas that remain sleek when not in use. The sternum support is a great touch. The material feels top notch. Just a few added features. would make it even better. A second slot in front of the laptop sleeve for an iPad or Notebook, with accompanying pen slots.A soft lined zipper pocket on the top for a phone or sunglasses. And a key leash or hub area in the front pocket.

Love this bag and its durable quality. Very sleek design makes this a great modern addition to the work wardrobe. My reason for 3 stars is, the actual interior space is very limited. With my lap top and iPad in this bag I can’t fit much more. Really wish I bought the new bigger version that just came out. Regardless I love Alpacka’s quality and will continue to buy their products.

The backpacks quality an look is good. There are two things that annoys me a bit. 1: the zippers goes down into the bottle holders on the side. I usually have one bottle and one umbrella with me in the two pockets. This leads to it being hard to get the zipper all the way down, which brings me to issue number…. 2: the backpack is very tight. Even though something will fit at the bottom, you can’t really slide something in the backpack unless you zip it ALL the way down(unless it’s very very small like a laptop. And this is annoying enough without having to remove your bottle and umbrella to do so as well. Other than that the quality seem to be very good so far.
