Incredible Travel Backpack!
Where do I even begin with this thing. It has more compartments than I know how to use, which normally I would see as a downside because I’m a minimalist when it comes to backpacks, but this thing is so packed with features and decidable pockets that I probably won’t ever use another backpack again when I travel. With the rolltop fully expanded, it has the convenient space of a duffel, I can throw an extra pair of shoes in the bottom section and they fit perfectly! All of my valuables can go there too, which I lock right up and the quick access pouches means I don’t have to hold up a line while I rummage through my effects for passports, keys, or credit cards. It’s got a space for my laptop, which most people are like, “yeah yeah so does every other backpack”, but this thing is so padded I could roll it down a flight of steps and it would probably be fine. The ONLY downside is the size. Looking at it, it’s a little bulky, BUT with the excellent strap system, you don’t even feel the weight. Easy 9/10 on this thing. 10/10 worth the money.

First Backpack I've come to adore and admire
The Alpaka Shift Pack is made of great quality and it feels durable enough to last me a lifetime. This is the first backpack that I've truly invested a lot of time researching and suits my needs for work and travelling. The bag feels light even though lots of materials are put in and it's just ergonomically feasible. I love the design of the bag and have been getting some compliments whenever I'm out. I definitely recommend this pack.

Very awesome bag.
I've had my Shift Pack now for over 8 months now and have been enjoying it. I wanted to get some use out of it before I wrote a review so I could see how it functioned in my everyday life. The main compartment is great and I love how I can adjust the size depending on what I need to carry. It's been very useful. I love the customisable base where I can have it folded down to make the bag deeper or zip it up and use that bottom compartment for tech as I am now. The front pocket would be a lot better without the card pockets. I would not put cards they anyway as the pocket isn't lockable and they make it a slight nuisance to get things in and out. The access to the main compartment through the laptop space is a great idea but unfortunately is a bit fiddly with only one zip, meaning I have to open the laptop section up almost full to access the single zip that sits low on the side. With two zips I could have them in the middle which would make it far easier to use that pass-through. The laptop compartment itself is great and just fits my bulky 15" laptop. Moving to the back of the bag the straps are quite comfortable and strong. The magnet clasp for the sturnum start is great but slightly fiddly. Also the zipped pockets on the shoulder straps aren't easily accessible if you have the sturnum strap on. Maybe they would work better on the outside end of the straps. I think the raised pads on the back could protrude from the bag more. I've felt stuff jabbing into me if I have the bag packed certain ways. It's mostly comfortable otherwise and doesn't hurt my back on walks. It would be great if the bag could somehow incorporate some sort of side pocket for drink bottle or umbrella. I've found myself wish it was a little easier and quicker to get to my umbrella a few times on rainy days. All in all I do enjoy this bag a lot. I just wanted to highlight a few areas that could be improved but I get a lot of satisfaction out of the Shift Pack and and glad to have this stylish and comfortable bag.

The backpack is well made with the idea of having a separate laptop compartment. The idea to put your tech gears, cam, gym shoes or clothes in the bottom compartment is the idea that grabs customers attention. However it would be great to have a water bottle pocket...
